Deerfield Beach Middle School

Middle School Mathematics Teacher of the Year is Melissa Rodriguez, a math teacher at Deerfield Beach Middle School. Rodriguez has used her creativity to develop projects such as Music + Math = SUCCESS, Math Minute Mirror Cards, Math Jeopardy and ESOL math fluency tournaments. She has been awarded several grants from the Broward Education Foundation and the National Science Foundation.  Rodriguez has a master’s degree in middle grades mathematics from Florida Atlantic University.
